Guoyan Zheng received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biomedical Engineering in 1992 and 1995, respectively from The First Military Medical University (Now renamed as Southern Medical University), and Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2002 from The University of Bern, Switzerland. Since 2019, he has been at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University where he is currently a professor at the School of Biomedical Engineering, the Director and Founder of the Center for Image-guided Therapy and Interventions (CITI), and the Deputy Dean of the Institute of Medical Robotics (IMR). Before he joined the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, he worked at the University of Bern for almost 20 years, first as a PhD student, then as a post-doc until 2004. In 2005, He founded the Lab Of Information Processing in Medical Interventions (IPMI) and directed the Lab until the end of 2018. In 2010, he did his habilitation on medical image computing and received the venia decendi from the University of Bern. He also holds the title of Privatdozent (PD) at the same university. He became an Associate Professor of the University of Bern in 2015. He was a visiting professor in the Image-based Computational Biomedicine Lab at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology from May 2018 to June 2018.

In 2008, Tao Rong obtained her bachelor's degree from the School of Bioscience and Medical Engineering of Southeast University. In 2015, she received an honorary doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Bioengineering. During her PhD, she received Strobel Fellowship and worked as a research assistant at the Hoglund Brain Imaging Center of Kansas University Hospital. Since 2016, she had held a postdoctoral position at the Center for Excellence in Superconductivity in the Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Tao has been a senior algorithm engineer in the medical imaging team of Ping An Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. since 2018. She joined the Shanghai Jiaotong University Medical Robot Research Institute in 2020.

Xiaoru Gao is a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She graduated from the Southern Medical University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Her research interests focus on Medical Image Segmentation/Registration and Deep Learning-based Multi-modal Image Processing.

Xiaoyang Zou received the honorary B.E. degree in Biomedical Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2021. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests focus on surgical video perception and medical image segmentation.

Jiale Wang is a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University,majoring in Electronic Information. He received his master degree from East China University Of Science and Technology and had worked at Intel for one year. His research interests focus on medical image segmentation/diagnosis/super resolution.

Wenyuan Sun received his B.E. in Biomedical Engineering at Southeast University in 2021. His research interests involve stereo vision, medical robotics and surgical navigation. He is now pursuing his Ph.D. degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Derong Yu received the Zhiyuan Honor Degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2023. Her thesis during graduation project is recognized for the achievement of Best Bachelor Thesis (Top 1%) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her research interests focus on surgical video perception, 3D reconstruction of surgical scenario, and medical image/point cloud registration.

Runze Wang received his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2024. Now, he works at Alibaba DAMO Academy.
